JoAnne Telford of Stratford, Ontario, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2020 at London Parkwood Institute Palliative Care Unit in her 84th year. 

For 35 years, JoAnne taught at various schools throughout Ontario. In her semi-retired years, she was a sought-after tutor by parents and students alike. She will be deeply remembered as a kind and energetic teacher who genuinely cared for her students’ success. After retirement, she became a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Stratford, Ontario. 

JoAnne was predeceased by her husband, Roy Telford; brother, David Burrows; and parents, Winifred and Harry Burrows. 

JoAnne was a devoted mother to her children, Jeffery (Mari Justo) Telford and Lorinda (Mike) Hallam and was a proud Nana to her three grandchildren, Jocelyn, Brooklyn and Madison Hallam. She will be dearly missed by her life-long friends, Bette Shaw and Joan Jacobs, as well as her extended relatives, church community and numerous friends.  

Visitation will be at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Thursday, November 5, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 6, at 1 p.m. Interment at Bayfield Cemetery. Please respect mandatory health and safety requirements such as wearing of face masks and social distancing measures while at the funeral home.
