Lloyd Albert George Schmidt, age 99 of Cedarcroft Place, passed away as a result of Covid 19 on November 16, 2020 at the Stratford General Hospital. Lloyd is survived by his daughter Susan Ohler and husband Eugene, son Brian Schmidt and wife Carol; 3 grandchildren, Danielle and Rob Ingram, Cory Schmidt and Michelle Selby, Todd and Shelley Schmidt; 6 great grandchildren who brought him much joy, Sawyer and Genna Ingram, Joey and Hailey Schmidt, Ethan and Coleton Schmidt. Also survived by sisters-in-law Shirley Ratz (Don), Vera Kiloh and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife and best friend Doris (Bossence), sisters Florence Parkins, Ruby Rohfritsch and brother Andrew Zimmerman. Lloyd was extremely proud of his family and enjoyed many years at Chesley Lake family cottage taking the grandkids waterskiing, fishing and ending the day around the fire pit. The family is grateful for the care Lloyd received from the nurses and PSW’s at Cedarcroft Place and the Stratford General Hospital and we pray for their safety during the months ahead. A family graveside service will be held at Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital, Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth or St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Stratford through the W.G.
