Mom was born on November 28, 1934, into the large Jordan family that hailed from the Kinkora area. Her parents were Francis and Mary Jordan. Mom passed from this earthly space into Gods’ arms on December 25, 2020. Mom fell in love with Ross Angus Smith and they married on September 17, 1955. Their family of two grew with the addition of six children over the next nine years. Mom pursued her education and her love of Nursing when at the age of 45, returned to school and obtained her Registered Nursing Diploma. She continued to work in her chosen field until she retired in 2000. Her children, spouses, grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren will always cherish her love and guidance, forever. Her children include Carol Robinson (Tom), Marina Schmidt (Wayne), Rob Smith (Carol Lovett), Christine McCarthy (Mike), Lorraine Butson (Paul), Rosslyn Smith (Archie Leduc). Also fondly remembered by Cathy Beirne-Smith, and Rick Nelson. Grandchildren include Dan Robinson, Jennifer Duchesne, Kendra Robinson, Michael Schmidt, Melaine Debus, Emily Smith, Kevin Smith, Caitlin Smith, Bennett McCarthy, Madeline McCarthy, Evan Butson, Eric Butson, Dori Hishon, Sadie Nelson. Mom is survived by her sister Donna McCann. She is predeceased by her husband Ross Smith. She is also predeceased by her siblings, their spouses and in-laws: Frank Jordan (Elaine), Ken Jordan (Geraldine), Cyril Jordan (Lillian), Tom Jordan (Phyllis), Basil McCann, Eleanor Murray (Jim), Marie Hishon (Jack), Tom (Julianne) Smith. Mom is remembered by numerous nieces and nephews in the Stratford, Kitchener and Sarnia area.  A private family Liturgy Service will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home. Current Provincial Regulations will be followed. Interment in Avondale Cemetery will occur in the spring. A Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
