Raymond Brian Lightfoot, age 81 passed away at Mitchell Nursing Home on January 26, 2021. Born May 15, 1939 to Frank Herbert Lightfoot and Helen Daphne Fry. Predeceased by his wife Rosemary Lightfoot and later his cherished companion Doris Odbert. Brother of Bob Lightfoot (Pat) and the late Burle Bristol (Don), Ken Lightfoot and Betty Jackson (Michael). Father of Donald (Shannon) and Dennis Lightfoot and grandfather to Hayle and Liam. Also survived by a sister-in-law Irene and several nieces and nephews.

Brian was always ready with a smile and a helping hand if you needed it.

He worked alongside his father at Avon Dairy delivering milk door to door at a young age. Then started a 30 year career at Pounder Bros. Brian owned Cambria Quick stop, and was part owner in Roy’s taxi.  He would often help others fix their homes and was a helpful hand to many people in Stratford. He worked at National Trust and then moved on to the “old mall” as the malls custodian until his retirement. He could often be found in the Avon Deli, Cookie Café, Mr. C’s & the food court chatting it up with other locals. He loved to sit and talk about current events and loved cars.  He loved pie and a strong cup of coffee. He spent many lovely days searching for milk glass and Toby Mugs with his sister Betty.

A Memorial will be held in the Summer when it is safe to do so.  We plan on having pie and coffee to celebrate Brian’s extraordinary life. Interment will take place at Avondale Cemetery.
