Surrounded by her family, Donna ‘Liz’ Elizabeth Rockey, age 92 of Stratford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Woodland Towers. Born in Iona, Ontario, daughter of the late Donald and Gladys MacCallum. Beloved wife of the late Russell Rockey. Predeceased by daughter Deborah and grandson Scott Turford.  Beloved mother of daughters Joanne Rockey Smith (Tom), Barbara Turford (Bill) and Sharon Seebach (Rodger). Grandmother of Karly, Ryan (Miranda), Callie (Bjoern), Aaron (Rebecca), Beth (Jonathan), Nicholas (Jaclyn) and Tammy (Kevin) and 19 great grandchildren. Fondly remember by many cousins in Ontario and Australia.  Living at Woodland Towers brought her great happiness and she  had many friends among both tenants and staff. Mom was a loving, kind, and always happy person and enjoyed being with family and friends. She is fondly remembered as the lady who gave out Laura Secord suckers to everyone. We would like to thank Dr. Bandey and the staff of Woodland Towers for all their loving care over the years and especially the past 2 weeks. Her presence will be missed. In the caring hands of Jesus, remembered in our hearts forever. A private family visitation and service will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 11:30 am. Provincial Regulations will be followed. Interment in the spring in Woodhull Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home. 519.271.7411
