Jean Rosie Stelmachuk, age 81 of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her residence. Born in Saskatchewan, daughter of the late John and Sophie (Romano) Ratushniak. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Stelmachuk August 14, 2003. Loving mother of Janice (Scott) Moorehead and Terry (Annette) Stelmachuk. Proud grandmother of Hailey (Ian), Sarah (Nick), Brock (Morgan), Ryan, Brett, Nicole and great grandmother of Kaysen and Sutton. Jean will be fondly remembered by her brother Elgin (Bobbi) Ratushniak her brother-in-law Mike Bewcyk and sisters-in-law Shirley Stelmachuk and Wendy Ratushniak along with her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Jean was predeceased by her brother Ron Ratushniak, her sister-in-law Marion Bewcyk and brother-in-law Ben Stelmachuk.  Jean was a retired 30-year employee of the former Towers store, she loved her get togethers every morning for her coffee with the girls at Tim Horton’s, the occasional trip to the casino, Jean was always up for that trip. Jean was the most loving and giving person that you could ever imagine; her family always came first, and she will be missed so very much. Jean was a faithful parishioner at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church for many years. The family will celebrate Jeans life with a private mass at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with interment in Avondale Cemetery.
