Almeda Schiedel, age 97, passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor on April 23, 2021. Born in Woolwich, daughter of the late Norman and Magdalena Martin. 

Beloved wife of the late Irvine Schiedel who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Bev Delooze (Jim) and Brian Schiedel (Heather). Grandmother of Jim Delooze (Shannon), Nicole MacDonald (Iain), Jennifer Hawkins (Jeff), Adam Schiedel (Megan). Great grandmother of Erika, Alyssa, Emily, Sophie and Landon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by brothers and sisters Melvin Martin, Selinda Weber, Velina Baer, Lena Schmitt, Norman Martin, Oscar Martin and Oliver Martin. 

Almeda and her husband Irvine owned and operated Banner Vending for many years. She was a lifelong member of Elgin Missionary Church. Almeda had a passion for flowers and always enjoyed doing her own gardens. 

A private family service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, at 1:30 p.m. followed by interment at Avondale Cemetery.
