Mary Margaret Cassone, age 79, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on April 10, 2021. Born in Windsor, Ontario April 3, 1942, daughter of the late Harriette and Dr. Edward Dupuis. 

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Cassone who predeceased her April 6, 2008. Loving and devoted mother of David (Dawn), Greg, Lisa Krmpotich (Kevin). Grandmother of Sam (Chelsie), Matt (Keigan), Joey, Alex, Lena, Dani and great grandmother of Eric. Sister of Paul Dupuis (Bev). Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sandra Dupuis, Raymond Cassone (Lorna), Eugene Cassone (Gayle) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her brother Michael Dupuis 

Mary Margaret had a life-long commitment to children. Along with her dedication to her own children and grandchildren, she was an elementary school teacher in The Huron Perth Catholic District School Board spending the bulk of her career in Kindergarten. Mary Margaret had a passion for early primary education that gave her great pride and joy as she transitioned to retirement. In retirement Mary Margaret made the best of the time she had by travelling to several worldly destinations with the love of her life sharing many laughs with wonderful friends and family. A special thank you to the staff of Georgian Bay Manor for the care given to Mary Margaret over the past number of years. 

A private family service will be held with interment at Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Family Services Perth-Huron or the Alzheimer Society of Perth County through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. 519.271.7411
