Bob ‘Bozo’ Burnett, age 75, of Stratford passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.  Bob was born in Stratford on November 5, 1945 to the late Robert and Grace (nee Hatch) Burnett.  He was brother to Don Burnett, Jody Burnett and the late David Burnett and Paulyne Young.  He met Marjorie Steckly when he was 17 and, after dating for three years, they were married on August 6, 1965.  They raised their three children, Jade, Chad and Jolene, in Stratford, starting out in a home on Louise Street and later moving to Lightbourne Avenue.  He lived and worked in Stratford his whole life.  He worked for the City of Stratford for 39.5 years, retiring as Foreman of the Board of Works in 2005.  He enjoyed a long retirement with Marj, his wife of 56 years, working on and enjoying their cottage in Point Clark, travelling to many southern destinations and spending time with friends and family.  He was always an early riser and enjoyed his morning coffees at McDonald’s with his friends.

He was well known to many in Stratford as Bozo.  He was known and loved as Papa by his five grandchildren, Cody, Christie, Indy, Avery and Kaelyn, and was great grandfather to Vayda.  He was loved and will be greatly missed by his children, Jade and Kim, Chad and Denise, Jolene and Jim.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at both the London Victoria Hospital and St. Marys Memorial Hospital.
