Paula De Vocht, age 87, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Born in Belgium, daughter of the late Philibert and Delphina Van Camp. Paula was predeceased by her loving husband Jules De Vocht (March 20, 2000). Proud and loving mother of Frank (Vicky) De Vocht and Diana Garbutt. Much loved grandmother of Vanessa (fiancé Eddie), Alexander, Tyler, Stephanie (Dylan) and GG / great grandmother of Coda, Brooklyn and Jayson. Paula is survived by her sisters Madeline Liekens, Maria Heremans her brother Edward (Janine) Van Camp and her sister-in-law Josie De Vocht along with her many nieces and nephews. Paula worked for many years in the kitchen at Stratford General Hospital before retiring. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at Greenwood Court for the care and compassion given to her, and to the nurses and volunteers at Rotary Hospice for making Mom’s final journey filled with dignity and grace. It is all very much appreciated.   Besides her parents and her husband, Paula was predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Garbutt, and her brothers and sisters-in-law John (Betty) Van Camp, Julia (Roman) van Camp, Jeff Liekens, Louie Heremans, Josie (Jos) De Vocht Fille De Vocht and Jon (Julia) De Vocht.  A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, with interment in Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON. 519.271.7411.
