Beverly F. (Bud) Graper, age 90 of Stratford passed away on July 9, 2021 at the Rotary Hospice in Stratford Ontario.  He was born in Stratford, the son of Fred and Jean Graper and lived most of his life in Stratford.  Bud was the loving father of sons Douglas (Gwen) and Stephen (Jennifer) and proud grandfather of Rebecca, Mitchell, Marshall, Sydney and Payton.  He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Sandra Hayward and her children Jeffrey Hayward, Martin Hayward (Charity) and grandson Justin. Hayward (Tori).  Bud was predeceased by his parents and his first wife of 30 years Helene Roadhouse.  He is predeceased by his sister June Snider, and survived by several nieces, cousins and their families.

Bud was a Sergeant with the Stratford Police Services until his retirement.  A Past-President of the Kinsmen and K-40 Club, a 30 year director of the Stratford Culliton Hockey Club.  Bud also served the citizens of Stratford as a 10 year member and one term as Deputy Mayor of Stratford City Council.  Bud was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church. 

Bud’s life will be celebrated privately with a funeral service at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Those who wish to join the family from their home can do so by clicking view livestream under Bud’s obituary on the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital or the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth through the funeral home. 519.271.7411.
