Doreen Annie Rose, age 83. of Stratford and formerly of RR#1 Gadshill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Born in North Easthope Township, daughter of the late John and Florence (Wahl) Lantz. Doreen was predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Henry Rose of 55 years, on April 6, 2012, and her daughter Carol Rose on February 16, 2011. Loving mother of Steven (Kerry) Rose, Dianne (Richard) Turner, Bruce (Joanne)Rose. Proud grandmother of Brandon Turner, Jenna, Julia, Chelsea and Adam Rose. Doreen will be remembered by her siblings, Elmer (Dorothy) Lantz, Violet Luckhardt, Marion Luckhardt, Marjorie (Bruce) Coulthard and her sister -in-law Pat Rose and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her mother and father-in-law John and Lillie (Schmidt) Rose, her sisters Loretta (Johnny) Horst, Shirley (Russel) Bigam, her brothers Floyd (Ruth)Lantz, Harold (Mildred)Lantz and brothers-in-law Mervyn Luckhardt, Bob Luckhardt, Ernie (Mildred) Rose, Fred Rose, Edgar (Olivia) Rose, Ross (Anna)Hyde, Alf (Lee) Faulhaufer and Willard (Elma) Mohr. Doreen was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Easthope. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation, Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home. 519.271.7411.
