Mrs. Julieta P. Bayani, age 91, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021, at Ritz Lutheran Villa (Mitchell). Born in the Philippines on July 16, 1930, she joined alongside her departed husband the Filipino resistance and guerilla operation against the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War 11 between (1942-1945) when Imperial Japan occupied the commonwealth of the Philippines. They settled in Canada with her family in 1976. She loved cooking and she was a professional dressmaker. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception church. She is survived by her children Zenaida (Julio), Mercedes, Louie (Francisca)and her grandchildren Julie (Camilo), Jessica (Chad), Marshall (Britney), Jen (Jason), Melanie (John), Vanessa (Brad), Alexis and her great grandchildren Calvin, Hedrick, Jacob, Wesley, Sophie, Emma, Ivey and Elowyn. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, October 29, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well St, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke foundation through the funeral home. 519.271.7411.
