Gordon Wroot passed away peacefully on November 8, 2021, at Huron Hospice Residence at the age of 81 in the loving arms of his wife. Born June 24, 1940, in Halifax England son of Clem and Betty Wroot, he worked in at elland power in England till he married his beloved wife Eileen 0’Halloran (Wroot) in 1961 which in the years following they had 4 boys, 7 granddaughters one grandson, 3 great granddaughters, one great grandson. Mark (Rip) Shannon Wroot (Owen Barry) Dean (Carrie) Dylan – (Katie) Briley and Levi (Rip) isla. Morgan Wroot (John). Gavin (Filomena) Chantal – (Corey) Duncan Ava. Amara Wroot (Nick Rowan), Steven and (Melanie)- Ashley Adriana and Skyler. They arrived in Canada in 1970 on the Empress of Canada ship where he had a job interview with Otis elevator but shortly after got a job at OPG where he worked for 32 years. He loved to travel and spend some of his years going to Europe and Caribbean Islands and even a Disney cruise with the younger grandchildren, he was surrounded by his family and loved by all. He lit up when we came to visit with the great grandchildren,  He will truly be missed. We want to thank the hospice where he spent his last days with a loving caring staff, who became family. Friends are invited to a funeral service for Gordon on Friday, November 12, at 11 a.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. Proof of vaccine and photo ID required.
