John “Jack” Leo Hishon, age 77, of Stratford, passed away on November 11, 2021, at Stratford General hospital. Born in Hamilton, son of the late Joseph and Irene (Rabillard) Hishon. Jack is survived by his siblings; Mike (Bernice), Linda (John) Charbonneau, Lillian (Sam) Wyatt, Gerry (Ellen Young), Ken (Diane), Dan (Lois), Theresa (Jeff) Gleadall and Joe (Sue). Jack will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was a very quiet methodical man; he would research just about anything you required an answer too. Jack was very involved in the sporting community in Stratford for many years through his contributions to Hockey, Baseball, possibly the oldest Drag racer in Ontario and his 35 years managing the Stratford Municipal Golf course. He also worked for McCann Construction for 14 years. He will be greatly missed and was an admired gentleman, rest in peace Jack. Family and friends are invited to a public visitation on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 2-5 p.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron St, Stratford. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place also at the church on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
