James Troy Schlotzhauer, age 50, of Burks Falls and formerly of Stratford passed away suddenly on February 9, 2022. Troy is survived by his daughters Larissa Goll (Jesse) and their soon to be born child; Danyka Schlotzhauer (Keira) and her mother Stephanie; his loving sister Tamara; brother Scott Wildgust (Stacey); nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Sienna, Avery, Brooke (Dominic); great niece Luxley; special friends Sherry and Liam (Mitch) Graves. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Raymond Schlotzhauer and Carol McCann, grandparents Lillian and Patrick McCann, Florence “Nana” and Percy Schlotzhauer and his brother Todd Schlotzhauer.

Troy owned and operated Original Heat and Gas in Burks Falls for many years. He spent his life catering to his daughters, family and friends. Between being a successful business owner he thrived on loving his family. His hobbies were finding fabulous deals on Kijiji, snowmobiling, four wheeling and sea-dooing with his daughters and the boys. He will be remembered as a very kind soul who would help anyone. Troy loved Sunday road trips in his convertible and lemon torte. He will be remembered by all his employees who admired him.

A celebration of Troy’s life will be held at the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue East, Stratford on Saturday, February 12, from 5-9 p.m. Those attending must provide proof of double vaccination along with photo ID. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for Troy’s children (cheques payable to Young Memorials) through the W.G.
