Carl Robert Marquette – Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Betty Marquette (nee Noble). Carl was predeceased by his parents Alex and Ellen Marquette.

Carl is lovingly remembered and survived by his daughter and her family Lori (Jim) Myerscough of Bobcaygeon, their children, Abigail Myerscough (Dylan) of Peterborough, Hilary (Richard) Thurston of Bobcaygeon; sons, Robb (Marcy) Marquette and their children, Logan, Milo, Wade and Leah of Stratford; Kirk (Tammy) Marquette and their children Haylee (Shawn) and Parker of Stratford and Blake of Toronto, as well as two great grandchildren Stella and Gage Thurston. Stepfather of Simeon Reid of Stratford and Mavelina (Kevin) Thody of Calgary. Brother to Allen (Evelyn) Marquette and Andrew (Wendy) Marquette; nieces and nephews Bradley, Stephanie, Nicole, Robert and Michelle and their families. Predeceased by first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Ann.

Carl worked for the City of Stratford as a foreman for many many years before retiring. Carl loved going to Bear Island on Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario spending time with family. He liked having a good time with friends. He will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who cared for Carl the last couple years. We are forever grateful.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. If desired,

memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Society or Canadian Cancer Society through Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004), Woodstock ON. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by the family.
