Josephine Mary Hearn, age 97, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Spruce Lodge on June 4, 2022. She was born in Guelph the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Ward) Fitzpatrick.

Loving mother of Mary Ann Campbell (Bryon) and Gloria MacDonald (Brian). Loving grandmother of Jeff Nelder (Evelyn), Chrisanne Oglove (Chad).  Loving great grandmother of Thalia, Hayden, Christian (Kate), Nicholas, Mackenzie (Tristan) and great great grandmother of Theo and Juni. Loving sister of Frances Shantz. Aunt to Karyn (Steve), Mike-deceased (Linda (Dave)), Pauline (Morgan), Patrick, Tony (Pat), Jane (Terry), Bob (Debbie), Bill (Diane), Sandra (Charles – deceased), Jim (Cathy), Chris (Alison) and their families.

Predeceased by her baby daughter Frances in infancy, her loving sister Gloria Wittig (Wilf) and her brother-in-law Bruce Shantz. 

Josephine was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Catholic Women’s League.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, June 9, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11a.m. Livestream of the Mass is available under Josephine’s obituary on the funeral home website. Interment at Avondale Cemetery and will be followed by a reception in the funeral home reception center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Perth Huron or the charity of your choice through the W.G.
