Elaine Dominica Mary Nigro, age 84, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Clinton Public Hospital on September 15, 2022. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Walter and Nellie (Bomasuit) Nigro.

Elaine is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by siblings Thomas (Marie), James, Angelo, Jenny Kingsley (Gary), Teresa and Georgina.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews Jamie Nigro (Kathy) and children Mike (Mandy), Kelly (Simon); Deborah Kingsley (Chris) and children Jordan, Megan and Christian; Brian Nigro (Ginny) and children Brianne (Chris), Leah (Colin), Rory, and Jaeden (Noah); Darlene Attinger (Andre) and children Noah and Jenna; Russell Nigro; Kathy – deceased (Dave Soepboer) and daughter Natasha (Matt). Also survived by sister-in-law Elizabeth Nigro and 19 great nieces and nephews.

Elaine worked at Samsonite and later Stratford General Hospital until her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Stratford.

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Tuesday, September 20, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Avondale Cemetery followed by a reception at the funeral home reception centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation or the St. Vincent de Paul Society through the W.G.
