Violet (Doadie) Maxine Cook, age 93, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge (Milverton), on Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born in Stratford on Sunday, November 18, 1928, daughter of the late Wesley Ernest & Helena Ethel (Mitchell) Cole. Predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years Ralph Henry Cook (March 7, 2017). Proud and loving mother of Rona Wilson, Janet & Jim McNichol, Sherry & Leo VanDeWetering, daughter-in-law Frieda Schellenberger, Debbie & Paul Moffatt and Wendy & Mike Holman. Beloved grandmother of 21 grandchildren. Violet was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her 51st great grandchild. Violet was also a proud great great grandmother. Violet was the last surviving member of her family, she will be fondly remembered by Cole, Cook and Schellenberger families along with her many nieces and nephews. Violet was a very active member with Zion Lutheran Church and the Alter Guild for many years. Besides her parents and her husband Ralph, Violet was predeceased by her sons Mark, Doug and Pete Schellenberger and her son-in-law Dennis Wilson. Family and friends are invited to Violet’s visitation on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, 202 Erie St, Stratford, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery.
