Nancy Elizabeth Benjamin, age 72, of Stratford, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, January 17 2022 at Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Fred and Hazel (Monteith) McKay. Nancy is survived by her loving husband Ric Benjamin of 50 years. Proud and loving mother of Laura (Ciaran) Kelly and Sarah (Ron) Davis. The greatest grandmother to Gemma, Liam, Daniel (Shayne) and her great grandson Hunter. Nancy is survived by her brother Alex McKay and his wife Rita, along with her brothers-in-law Paul Benjamin and his wife Brenda, Randy Benjamin and his wife Ann, Daryl Benjamin and his wife Kathy and Jim Easson. Aunt Nancy will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by a grandson Mathew Benjamin, her mother and father-in-law Bernice and Howard Benjamin, her brother Nelson McKay and his wife Patricia and her sister-in-law Linda Easson. Nancy loved her children and grandchildren, she devoted her life to making their lives better, she was an organizer, she arranged numerous family trips, three times to Disney World, two trips to Bermuda, one trip to England and countless trips to Frankenmuth. Nancy was employed at the Beacon Herald, Perth Motors and she retired from the Stratford Festival as House manager for the “third stage” known as the Tom Patterson theatre today. She will be missed by everyone she knew. The family would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful staff at Hospice for the care and compassion given to Nancy. It is very much appreciated. Interment will take place at St. James Church, God’s Holy Acre on Tuesday, October 25, at 3 p.m. A celebration of Nancy’s life will follow at the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans Hall, 151 Lorne Avenue East, Stratford from 4-8 p.m.
